  • Leeks are a sophisticated version of an onion.  The edible part of the plant is the stem or stalk.

    There’s something about the flavour of leeks that makes them uniquely delicious!
    Leeks taste like a slightly milder, sweeter and mellower typical onion.  The flavour is quite gentle, particularly when cooked, which is how most leeks are prepared.

    Leeks are used as a supporting aromatic in all kinds of recipes from pan sauces to braises to roasted vegetable dishes to pan sauces to toppings – sautéed, roasted, steamed, stir-fried and just plain fried.
